The 'Mallika' mango is the result of the hybridization of the Indian mango varieties Neelum and Dasheri. Variety was introduced by Dr. Ramnath Singh. Mallika has a perfect blend of sweetness and tartness. It is a mid-season variety and well known for its lengthy and attractive look.
Mallika produces high-quality, fibreless orange fruit. The fruit has prominent citrus, melon and honey notes and is exceptionally sweet. The juicy, ripe Mango fruit has a rich, tropical aroma and flavor that bring water to your mouth. Mallika variety is also more disease-resistant and easy to grow.
The taste is very sweet and richly flavored with notes of ripe syrupy honey and an occasional tart kick.
Tip: Good for juicing and dehydration.
